Welcome!

Welcome to Sippl's Sap Shack.  We are glad to have you visit, and we are excited to be your Wisconsin maple syrup provider.

Sippl's Sap Shack is a family owned and operated business producing maple syrup in Birnamwood, Wisconsin.  The Sippl family has been involved in the production of maple syrup for more than 40 years.  We welcome you to share in the sweet nectar that we have come to know and love; pure maple syrup!

Our History

Growing up in rural Wisconsin, maple syrup season was something that a little boy couldn't wait to start.  It was a chance to get outside after being cooped up all winter, watch the trees bud and the plant life blossom.  For us, this springtime tradition began as soon as we were old enough to carry an ice cream pail full of sweet sap.

Over the years, we developed our craft with the guidance of family and friends. Through trial and error, we learned to produce the sweet nectar produced only to the northern US and Canada. We have successfully turned our love of agriculture and nature into a successful family-owned business.

It is with great pride and honor that we provide our customers with the highest quality Wisconsin maple syrup. We love visiting with our consumers and educating them about the traditional manner in which our syrup is produced. We continue to collect a large portion of our syrup with five gallon pails. We wood fire our sap to produce the best tasting product.  In the last two years, we have groomed our woods and now have a portion of our land on tubing.  This allows us to collect more sap to ensure our production meets the demands of our customers.

As members of the Wisconsin Maple Syrup Producers Association (WMSPA), we help to promote the future of maple syrup production and innovation of the process.  We are a licensed Wisconsin maple syrup producer.  Our operating facilities are state inspected and certified by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP).

We welcome you to our family and thank you for your patronage.
